Socialworky

Terms of Use

Last updated: June 28, 2026

These terms apply to your use of Socialworky (the "Site") and the interactive practice tools offered on it. By creating an account or using the tools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the tools.

Who may use Socialworky

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that at least one of the following describes you:

a) you are a licensed mental health or clinical professional; or
b) you are a clinician gaining supervised experience toward licensure; or
c) you are a student enrolled in a clinical or pre-clinical training program, such as social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.

Socialworky's tools are built for these audiences as professional development and skill-building resources. If none of these describe you, please do not create an account.

These are practice tools, not clinical guidance. Socialworky offers training simulations and skill-building exercises. Some tools involve high-stakes clinical content, including suicide risk assessment and screening. That content exists so clinicians and trainees can rehearse and sharpen their skills in a low-risk setting. It is not clinical advice, it is not a protocol to follow with real clients, and it does not represent the standard of care for any real situation. Please read the full Tools Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

Your responsibility in real practice

You remain fully responsible for your real clinical decisions. Those decisions should rest on your own training and judgment, your supervision and consultation, your agency's policies, and the applicable ethical and legal standards of your profession and jurisdiction. Nothing produced by a tool on this Site replaces any of those.

Your account

Accounts and sign-in are handled through Clerk, our authentication provider. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Acceptable use

Please use the Site lawfully and as intended. Do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems, misrepresent your eligibility, or use the tools to make real clinical determinations about an actual person. Do not enter real client identifying information or protected health information into any tool. See the Privacy Policy for more on this.

Content and ownership

The tools, written materials, and design on this Site are the work of Socialworky and may not be copied, redistributed, or used to build a competing product without permission. You may use the tools for your own professional learning and practice.

No warranty

The Site and its tools are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Tool outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or clinically inappropriate, and should never be relied on as authoritative. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Socialworky is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its tools, including any decisions made in reliance on tool content. Your use of the Site is at your own discretion and risk.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms from time to time, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue tools or accounts. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
