Socialworky's tools are designed for one purpose: to help clinicians and trainees practice and strengthen their skills. Please read this before using them, particularly the tools that involve suicide risk assessment, screening, or other high-stakes clinical content.
For training and practice only. Everything on this Site is a learning exercise. It is not clinical advice, diagnosis, treatment, assessment, or supervision, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Nothing here should be used to make decisions about a real person.
Tools that simulate a client, such as ClientBot, generate responses using artificial intelligence. They are not real clients, not real cases, and not based on any real person. They are a practice partner, nothing more.
Responses and feedback from these tools may be inaccurate, incomplete, or clinically inappropriate. Treat everything a tool produces as practice material to think critically about, never as an authoritative answer. When a tool offers feedback on your work, weigh it against what you know from your training, your supervisors, and your profession's standards.
Some tools include suicide risk assessment and screening scenarios. These exist so you can rehearse difficult conversations and decision-making in a setting where no one is harmed by a misstep. A tool cannot assess real risk and must never be used to evaluate the safety of an actual person. Real risk assessment belongs in real clinical practice, supported by your training, consultation, supervision, and your setting's protocols.
These tools are not a crisis service. They cannot help in an emergency. If you or someone you are with may be in danger or experiencing a suicidal crisis, contact your local emergency number right away. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day.
Please do not type real client names, identifying details, or any protected health information into these tools. Use invented details when you practice. Content you enter into interactive tools may be processed by third-party services to generate a response, so keep it free of anything that could identify a real person.
Using these tools does not create any professional or supervisory relationship, and it does not satisfy licensure, continuing education, or supervision requirements unless that is stated explicitly for a specific offering. Responsibility for your real clinical work stays with you.
