Informed Consent Challenge
Pair up. One of you reads your consent script as the clinician. The other draws cards and plays the client. Then swap.
How this works
- Decide with your partner who is the clinician first. The other person is the client. Each of you picks your role below on your own screen.
- Clinician: your script appears on your screen. Read it aloud to your client. If you did not finish it, or it is on paper, use what you have and improvise the rest.
- Client: the deck appears on your screen. Listen to the script. When it is done, draw a card and say it to your clinician in your own words. Push back the way a real client might.
- Clinician: respond in the moment. Your script is a starting point, not something to read back word for word.
- After a few cards, both of you swap roles. Your script is still here when you come back to it.
Pick your role
Choose a role above to begin. Your partner picks the other one on their own screen.
You are the clinician. Read your script aloud to your partner. When you finish, they will draw a card and challenge you. Respond as you would in session.
